Intermediate-level quad tour
This second option, when combined with the first tour, becomes an intermediate-level adventure with an estimated duration of approximately 3 hours.
The route is made up of roughly 40% asphalt and 60% off-road terrain — with 30% being easy trails and 30% more challenging tracks. For more experienced riders, there’s also the opportunity to test their skills on technically demanding off-road sections.
We will reach Ripa della Naca, at 1,260 meters above sea level (also known as Bocche or Fosse di Santoro), the exact point where a volcanic fracture opened in November 1928. From here, a lava flow descended and nearly destroyed the town of Mascali, sparing only its outer district — today known as Sant’Antonio.
The lava originated at around 1,200 m a.s.l. and traveled all the way down to Mascali, located at approximately 20 m a.s.l.
Comfortable/trekking shoes and gear suitable for exploring a lava cave are required.
The price refers to one quad, approved for two riders.
