Advanced-Level Quad Tour
Monte Fontane / Sartorius Mountains + Grotta dei Ladroni / Ripa della Naca
The third itinerary offered by MiloAdventure is a 4-hour tour that takes you through some of the most fascinating sites on Mount Etna. The route is evenly split between asphalt and off-road trails and includes stops at Monte Fontane and the Valle del Bove, the Sartorius Mountains, Grotta dei Ladroni, and finally Ripa della Naca. The Sartorius Mountains are a group of seven buttonhole-aligned craters formed during the 1865 eruption, located at an altitude of 1667 meters.
The tour starts in Milo (750 m a.s.l.), continues through the Valle del Bove and the Sartorius Mountains, and includes a stop at the unique and mysterious Grotta dei Ladroni (also known as Grotta delle Nevi – the Snow Cave). The journey then continues toward Ripa della Naca (1260 m a.s.l.), also known as Bocche or Fosse di Santoro.
Lunch is included!
This tour includes a delicious fixed-menu lunch featuring a starter, a tasting of three first courses, and one beverage of your choice.
Lunch will be served at one of two local restaurants — La Bisteccona in Santa Venerina or Profumi dell’Etna Montarsi — where you’ll enjoy authentic local cuisine in a welcoming, traditional setting.
Comfortable/trekking shoes and cave exploration gear are required
Valid driving license required
